BLACK // WHITE

Still life photography is more than the study of an object.  The right light and juxtaposition can make an everyday item take on a new form, design, or function.  The substance doesn’t merely sit on the paper, but urges you to take a different look at something as plain as a pasta shape or pill.  Does it remind you of a guilty pleasure or vice?  Is there meaning behind a sugar coated peep or a fruit loop.  My images explore the elements of still photography while exploiting them in a manner that highlights unessential objects in void black and white.
